"Jurassic World" review: Not Worth Waiting 14 Years

When it came in ’93, it was first of its kind, but when you’re making sequels you got to have something better than previous one. That’s being said, the 4th installment does have pretty good visuals, but it lacks a good screenplay (I don’t expect a story) and a little different plot. The first part taught not to mess with nature, and for last 22 years they’re still messing with it. Only difference, ridiculous too, is at the climax, unlike other installments, T-Rex becomes the Batman of Jurassic World and saves the people at the park from the hybrid T-Rex, and also by not eating those people. Can you believe it… A T-Rex, who is been caged for years and got released, doesn’t even try to harm a single human being? Ridiculous!!!

Anyways, the Hybrid Rex is a genetic hybrid of T-Rex and Raptor, named Indominus Rex. Obviously, it escaped the facility. But how? By using its intelligence. It’s so intelligent that it can control its body heat to escape the thermal detector, and it can remember in which part of the body, a tracking device has been implanted.

Don’t get me wrong, but I feel this movie is good for kids and for those also who haven’t watched these kinda movies in big screen. It’s scary but for kids only. The 14 years of waiting has definitely made a generation gap, so it will definitely attract the new bunch and the expectations around people (doesn’t matter if they meet) will pour the money into producers’ pocket.

Owen (Chris Pratt) is a handsome, charming blah blah Raptor trainer. He’s the best thing in the movie after visuals. He rides bike in the jungle with his Raptors running beside him. He’s a bad ass (like Zach says). A little more humor to the character would have been nice. Howard did okay. Actually, she’s little dumb for an operation manager’s role.  The best thing she did, is she outran the hybrid T-Rex with her high heels. Lol!!! Irfan Khan disappoints. Surprised? Me too!!! I don’t know from where he got that accent which doesn’t go anywhere with the Owner of JW character. Before dying, he was flying a chopper with some armed militants to hunt down the hybrid Rex as No One from the military can fly a chopper. Surprised? Me too!!! D'Onofrio as Hoskins does an uninspiring typical cunning role. He came up with a superb project of using Raptors in war. Just imagine, instead of jets and tanks, soldiers are riding Raptors!

I don’t understand what is happened to the story writers. As per news, the story has been revised many times with many writers, and you can see what happens when many people try to cook one single recipe. Despite all this, the movie could have been enjoyable if it has a strong screenplay. But sadly, there are four screen writers, and the output is obvious… it’s laggy like my old android. They don’t even bother to give an explanation for reopening the park after three shutdown. Oh! I missed Colin Trevorrow (Director) because I never noted his presence in the movie. 

I would still recommend the movie, if you are a kid or if you have kid(s). They will surely enjoy these big beasts in big screen.

Didn’t I hear the Christmas jingle in the beginning of the movie and yet no decoration at the park? Oops. I’m being too critical. Sorry. Very sorry. Do keep your brains out in exchange of 3D glass and enjoy the movie.

"Dil Dhadakne Do" review: Don't Miss Hone Do

A rich family boarded onto cruise with their friends, their corporate problems and family problems; and comes out happily with their problems dissolving in the sea. Yeah... I understand, it's hard to believe that a 160+ min movie has a one line story. But there lies the magic of Zoya. She not only did a fantastic job, but handled so many stars under the same roof quite well. Zoya has directed almost flawlessly except people talking in cell phone in the middle of the sea, desperate inclusion of couple of songs and making some part of the climax little messy.

Ranveer shines out immensely in the multi-starer DDD. He just outperforms himself in every scene, and even more when he's just relying on his expressions. Hats off to Mr. & Mrs. Mehra (Anil Kapoor & Shefali Shah) for their excellent performance. Priyanka did well and everyone else did justice to their role. Kudos to Farhan for dialog writing. Pluto (a Bullmastiff), voiced by Aamir Khan, narrates the story. A special thanks to Javed Akhter for penning down Pluto's warm words.

If there's any total weak side, then music & lyrics it is. Shankar-Eshaan-Loy disappointed all the way with same ZNMD styled music, though the background score was good.

Despite all it's flaw, It has a feel-good factor. And that makes this movie a winner. It's glamorous, it's scenic, it's light and breezy. Do watch it with your friends and family.
